Whitman Music Boosters
The Walt Whitman High School Music Boosters Board is comprised of parent volunteers from both the instrumental and choral groups, who assist in the planning of activities and programs to support the Music Department at Whitman.
Raising funds to cover expenses is essential to maintaining the high quality of the program. Examples of expenses include sheet music needs, accompanists, instrument tuning and maintenance, stipends for guest clinicians, professional development for faculty, scholarships for students who would otherwise not be able to participate in activities, special purchases and many other needs.
Music Boosters is open to all parents of students in the music program. There is a niche for every parent who wishes to become involved. It is a terrific way to connect to the Whitman music community.
Music Program Suggested Contributions
The Whitman music faculty have built one of the finest—if not the finest—high school music programs in the region. Our instrumental and choral groups consistently receive top scores in local and national competitions, and our students thrive through their music education and being part of this community.
We need your help in continuing this critical tradition and urge you to support the Whitman Music Boosters with your tax-deductible contribution of $125 per student. Of course, we welcome and greatly appreciate any other or any additional amount you are able to donate. Our goal is 100% participation, regardless of the size of the contribution. Music classes rely solely on booster donations to fund all program costs.
To make any tax-deductible contributions to the Music Boosters , you have multiples options:
Online, by credit or debit card via PayPal
In person, at any Whitman event like Back to School night, Music Boosters parent socials, or school concerts.
If you prefer to pay by check, you can mail it to:
